This Parus major is checking out the fruit of the Hawthorn. I've noticed there are an awful lot of berries on the trees locally. "they" reckon it's a sign of a bad winter to come. I reckon it's a sign of good growing conditions throughout the summer. Long days with not too much heat and loads of fresh rain water.
