MYER HEAD OFFICE 800 COLLINS STREET DOCKLANDS VIC 3008 Attention: Mr. Richard Umbers Chief Executive Officer 1. IMAGINE DEPARTMENTAL STORE MARKET BLANKETS N BED COVER AS OF HOTEL QUALITY 2. FAULTY DISPLAY HEADPHONES OCCUPY SHELF SPACE THAT COST MONEY N REDUCE MANAGEMENT BONUS 3. METAL AGAINST WHITE DESIGN OF CLOCK DEFEATS THE PURPOSE OF BEING ABLE TO READ THE TIME FROM A REASONABLE DISTANCE Dear Mr. Umbers, I wish you well. 1. I was wondering if it will max profits if you market quilt, bed covers and linen as of Hotel Quality on the product packaging and with signs. As a consumer I find it hard to locate linen that is of the texture of Hotel’s linen. The current products were not communicated to me at a single glance that is of Hotel standard. I hope that you could consider this feedback for the purchasing decision and marketing strategy of your next batch of linen products. 2. Imagine that you are a customer experiencing a faulty product; despite that the product occupies shelf space that is an opportunity cost that cost rental expense or could have a hot selling working product to be marketed in that same space. Wouldn’t this result in loss of sales, profits, your bonus, salary increments and share price? 3. As the poor colour contrast of the metal clock (Salt & Pepper) hands (Please see Photos Enclosed) against the white background of the clock makes it difficult to read the time. Please kindly consider this feedback in reference for your future merchandising decision. I do apologise for my numerous letters. I really love MYER and I hope that you consider my feedback as lessons learnt for improvement in order to generate more profits in the future.
