Normally when we push cold, freshwater around the house we don't have much need to worry, as the mains pressure from the rising main is usually pretty awesome. When you're in a huge building that goes five floors up with lots of taps and toilets, it becomes a different story. These three pumps, each standing about three feet high from the ground, work together under a bloody big water tank to get cold water to where it's needed around the building.
