This "much beloved Liverpool icon" always make me laugh because folk seem to have forgotten what a god awful stink it kicked up when it was first put in place. People HATED it and it was pilloried as a ridiculous waste of public funds. I guess the public often have short memories. Ah well, as we were out I asked Laura for the loan of her camera for a quick shot, and she fortunately acquiesced. But what's the title all about? Well, whilst only being #171 in my 365, this is my 200th photo on Flickr. This means that if I want all of my photos to stay visible I need to start paying them some money. I think the principle must be that if you've uploaded 200 photos then it's fair to say that you're using the service, so it's not unreasonable that they ask for some cash for it. What's nice is that even if I don't pay they'll still hold all my photos, but only display the most recent 200. That means I can make the payment when I feel ready and all my stuff is there. I wouldn't be that generous if I was running it. :) Ah well, watch out for the 'pro' icon appearing on my name, and then you'll know I've stopped being my usual tightarse self ;) Today saw a quick trip out when Laura wanted to go and photograph the original Superlambanana on Tithebarn Street.
