That conversation didn't take place, but it might as well have! I'm actually glad we went as it was an absolute dream of a trip. The flypast was scheduled for 15:26. This meant that we went to Southport Beach on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in June with absolutely no traffic problems whatsoever and a really quiet beach, because seemingly everyone else elected to waste their afternoon watching the England Football team having their arses handed to them by Germany. The flypast was bang on time, and here you see them at the end of it with the smoke off and getting ready to make the three minute flight to Blackpool. They are in perfect formation, but you'd never know from this angle. A very nice way to kill a couple of hours. I don't even think I got burned!
