Higgins often showed utterly abominable positional play but didn't care because however outrageous the next shot was he could probably pot it. This enraged purists, but by God it made him exciting to watch. I was only a nipper when that glorious 82 final was played, but I remember it well. So yes, he was unruly, he was undisciplined and he was everything that a good consistent snooker shouldn't be. And he was awesome. Thanks for the memories.
