Today's photo doesn't really tell the story of the day - I just like it! Normally we do very little on a fly day, but in this case we had to check out by 11 and didn't have to be at the airport until 3, so we checked out at ten and decided to go and look at some more stuff. We started in a lovely public park dedicated to a physicist - a rare thing, and more on that later. Then we moved on to the Rundetaarn or Round Tower. This was a 17th Century observatory which is the oldest still working in Europe, though these days only used by amateurs. It offers lovely panoramic views across the fairly low city, but one of the accessible areas was the bell loft of the neighbouring church. This rocking chair was sitting there in the most beautiful light, and so it's got the spot for POTD. :) Now to go through more photos and steel myself for a hard day in work tomorrow...it's GCSE time!
