The tea was lovely, but the rest of the day was a bit of a washout. Once we hit Cumbria the heavens opened, and driving conditions flirted between 'tricky' and 'dangerous'. Adding in an hour traffic jam on the M6 on the way home, it's easy to say I've spent my day with too much time on the pedals. The prevailing colour amongst the autumnal hues was battleship grey, so photo opportunities were non-existent.
