I was called up to one of the technology classrooms because a computer was 'going nuts'. When I arrived there, all seemed well, which frustrated the teacher no end. I hung around a bit, then it started going nuts again. The machine was switching repeatedly between open applications, like it was tab switching. The teacher wondered if the mouse was faulty. I was more minded to go with a faulty keyboard, but then I twigged what it was. The interactive whiteboard on the other side of the room was being pressed against by...an ironing board. This is surely the first time I've been called to solve an IT problem caused by an ironing board. What's really mad is that I had a very similar call about a faulty mouse a couple of weeks ago. That too was an object touching the whiteboard, though in this case it was a massive wire sculpture of Christ (it was an art room). Literally, touched by Jesus. You have to laugh. :) Today I had a career first. I was called up to one of the technology classrooms because a computer was 'going nuts'.
