Getting out of the car, I noticed that it was a clear night and I could actually see stars as we've got barely any moon tonight. I decided to give the 'starry sky' mode on my compact camera a whirl. As you can see the results were disappointing! This is a thirty second exposure, which I've had to process to death to try and pick stars out of. In the thumbnail I wouldn't be surprised if it's completely black! For the pixel peepers though, I think there might possibly be the first hint of a star trail due to planetary rotation.
