Our big tree arrived from Scotland today. We ordered a 10ft one this year, and unlike last year, we actually got a tree that was ten feet tall, almost to the inch. It's a perfect size for the hall, as opposed to last year's beast which whilst magnificent did turn the hall into middle earth. This branch is actually off our more modest tree that we've bought for the top landing. It's the same type, but only 6 feet high. As well as doing that, I've been working with a very, very, very long drill bit and Dave's drill, and after the house flooding on Laura's birthday six months ago, I've finally worked up a permanent overflow solution.
