This is Rick Toad, the unfortunate deceased, who met his end being poisoned and then deposited in his swimming pool. We don't have a pool, but the spa sufficed just as well. :) And of course, as 365 of 365, it's not just Mr Toad that has bitten the dust. Project 365 2013 has drawn to a close, and that normally gets a bit of reflection. Looking over my set for this year, it's not particularly brilliant, and I notice that I've gone for a lot more 'snaps' (albeit some good ones) than creative photography. Maybe that's something I need to explore. On a plus side, most of the photos I really like from this year are of people, and that's always a good skill to develop. This one was one I really liked. I did a lot of panoramic stitching this year as well - some good, some not so good. This one turned out well from a lovely day out with my good friend Bex. I've used lots of different hardware this year and so some of the shots are very ropey. Sometimes though it is possible to coax something half decent out of even the most modest of camera phones. Due to Laura's surgery I haven't been to Finland this year, though we did get a little bit of more local travelling in, as this lovely coo shows! I think I'm allowed to choose a favourite shot of the year, and it's back to people, as the one I keep coming back to is this one. Even without knowing the personalities involved I think it's a great shot, but trying to get a genuine shot of Mike is an absolute nightmare, and this one - totally focussed on his little girl - is just a gem, and one that I hope Olivia will come to like as she reaches adulthood. And there we are - another year over, a new one just begun. Thanks to everyone who keeps following and checking in, whether you're a regular commenter or more of a lurker. Keep clicking guys - happy 2014. :) Tonight saw a gathering of lovely people who all hate New Year's Eve uniting to solve a murder!
