When I was at this area and took my last pano post of fishermen along the creek, a fisherman told me that I had just missed a Grizzly Bear who came down the beach. I guess my camera equipment and tripod was a give-away. He said the bear was not fishing in the creek but looking for salmon that the fishermen had already caught. And, apparently, the bear was not very polite asking for a hand-out. Another fisherman bear-sprayed him and he moved back upstream. So I ambled slowly up the stream and ran into the Grizzly in the middle of a little holding area in the stream trying to catch salmon but he seemed quite irritated. As I watched him, I could see no salmon in the holding area. This has been one of the lowest salmon return rates in Summer for years. Usually, these waters are teaming with salmon and the pickings are easy. The fishermen were frustrated, too. But at least they were not stealing salmon from their fellow fishermen! This was definitely a rude bear! I think you can see that in the photograph. OK, this photograph has a very short story.
