We went into Lincoln Castle (who wouldn't - it was free!) and had a good look round, but we were a little tired and a little pushed for time. One of the things we saw was a sign saying "Magna Carta" and an arrow pointing straight ahead. I well remember saying to Laura, "Aw, swerve that one, it's probably a tea shop or something". Oh no. It was one of the surviving copies of the original Magna Carta as sealed by King John. Doh! Ah well, that one will live to fight another day, and give us a reason to go back. :) This was a real 'oops' moment.
