(NEWS10) – A student at Amsterdam High School was charged after he made a threat targeting the school. School staff was made aware of a threat made by a student against the school that was posted on social media. Staff notified a Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputy who was working as a resource officer at the time. The juvenile student was identified and was at the school awaiting the “Home Coming Rally,” according to police. The student was taken from the rally and interviewed by law enforcement. He admitted to making the threat and was removed from the school property, police said. The student was taken to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office where he was charged with making the threat.
