Its stepped concrete facade is an ode to modernism and a reminder of the Icelandic landscape. The church is named after the 17th-century clergyman Hallgrímur Pétursson, author of Hymns of the Passion.

Inside the dome of St Stephen Walbrook church in the City of London. The 19 metre high dome was Sir Christopher Wren’s prototype design for the dome in St Paul’s Cathedral. The church was designed by Wren in 1672.

The Cathedral de la Asunción de la Virgin (Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary), popularly known as New Cathedral (Spanish: Catedral Nueva) is, together with the Old Cathedral, one of the two cathedrals of Salamanca, Castile and León, Spain. The Abbey Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, commonly known as Bath Abbey, is a parish church of the Church of England and former Benedictine monastery in Bath, Somerset, England. Founded in the 7th century, it was reorganised in the 10th century and rebuilt in the 12th and 16th centuries; major restoration work was carried out by Sir George Gilbert Scott in the 1860s. It is one of the largest examples of Perpendicular Gothic architecture in the West Country.
