The American Crow (Corvus brachyrhynchos) is a large passerine bird common throughout much of North America. The American crow is black, with iridescent feathers. It looks like the Common Raven (Corvus Corax) but is much smaller in size. The American crow was first described by the German ornithologist and pastor Christian Ludwig Brehm in 1822. It is an omnivorous bird and will feed on anything it can find through scavenging or hunting. The intelligent crow is able to modify and use natural tools to obtain food. American crows reach breeding age at two years or more but most do not breed until they are four or five years old. The nesting season starts in early April with birds building stick nests in trees and bushes. A typical clutch is from three to six eggs which are incubated for 18 days. Fledging takes place about 36 days after hatching. This American crow was photographed while standing by Walnut Canyon Lakes in Flagstaff, Arizona, USA.

House crow (Corvus splendens) also known as the grey-necked crow, Ceylon crow, Colombo crow or Indian crow, is a common bird of the crow family (Corvidae) that is of Asian origin but now found in many parts of the world, where they arrived assisted by shipping. The forehead, crown, throat and upper breast are richly glossed black, whilst the neck and breast are lighter grey-brown in colour. The wings, tail and legs are black.

Port Elizabeth, Bequia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines: the Caribbean grackle (Quiscalus lugubris) is a medium-sized, dark bird native to the Caribbean, known for its glossy black plumage with iridescent purples and greens. It is a member of the Icteridae family and is often seen in both urban and rural areas, where it thrives in a variety of habitats, including coastal regions, open fields, and cities. The species is highly adaptable, feeding on a broad diet that includes insects, seeds, fruits, and human food scraps. With its loud, harsh calls and bold behavior, the Caribbean grackle is often seen in large, noisy flocks, especially during the non-breeding season. While it is not considered threatened, the species' expansion into urban areas has led to some local conflicts with humans due to its tendency to scavenge in public spaces.
