$The fire salamander (Salamandra salamandra) is possibly the best-known salamander species in Europe.\n\nIt is black with yellow spots or stripes to a varying degree; some specimens can be nearly completely black while on others the yellow is dominant. Shades of red and orange may sometimes appear, either replacing or mixing with the yellow according to subspecies. Fire salamanders can have a very long lifespan.$

In the nature reserve Fontana del Guercio, a vibrant salamander, adorned with yellow spots, nestles amidst the lush, green moss in a serene forest setting.

Perhaps this is global climate change - warming. The salamander came out of hibernation in winter, but fell into a stream with snow and cannot get out until the night frost, which can kill her.

$The smooth newt, European newt, northern smooth newt or common newt (Lissotriton vulgaris) is a species of newt. It is widespread in Europe and parts of Asia, and has been introduced into Australia. Individuals are brown with a spotted underside that ranges in colour from orange to white. They reach an average length of 8–11 cm; males are larger than females. The newts' skins are dry and velvety when they are living on land, but become smooth when they migrate into the water to breed. Males develop a more vivid colour pattern and a conspicuous skin seam (crest) on their back when breeding.\n\nThis is a common Species in the Netherlands.$
